Porcelain Basket with Handpainted Shells
Porcelain Basket with Handpainted Shells
A yellow sinistral conch rare, tiger cowrie, some pectin nobles scallop shells, and a pink auger shell are gathered here in a little handmade Italian rattan basket— the sort that was found sold by craftsmen at markets in Italy and France in the 1950s. Only the whole thing is made of ceramic and handprinted in the prettiest shades. This is a reminder of days spent at the beach and it looks like it fell out of the set of the talented Mr. Ripley.
